*The audition age is as of September 1, 2026, unless otherwise approved by a company director. Dancers ages 19 AND a rising high school senior will be permitted to audition.

AUDITION DRESS CODE
Please observe the following dress code requirements for your auditions.
​BALLET
Girls: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair in a neat bun. Dancers en pointe must bring pointe shoes.
Boys: White shirt, black tights, and ballet shoes in black, white, or skin tone.
TAP
Please wear comfortable dancewear (no street clothes), hair pulled back, and tap shoes.
Audition results will be emailed.

Being a member of the Carolina Dance Foundation Performance Companies is a big commitment, both in time and financially. Before making the decision to audition, please read the 2023-2024 CDF Performance Company Handbook. **Keep in mind the information (including dates and pricing) is subject to change for the upcoming season. However, the handbook will give you a general idea of what's involved. We will be updating this document soon.
