OUTREACH
We are so proud of our Outreach programs! Two of our biggest are our Special Needs Dance Class and our Kamryn's Smile Tea Party, (more info below). In addition to these, Carolina Dance Foundation also:

Coordinates classes for the Raleigh Rescue Mission.

Conducts special needs classes for the community.

Currently, we have 6 scholarship students that are loving our program. All 6 are taking classes and will be in recital dances this summer.

50 Outreach tickets were handed out for our holiday show

Hosted a "Snacks for Students" food donation drive to benefit Community in Schools of Wake County and a book drive to benefit the Wake Up & Read community coalition supporting literacy in our county.

We can not thank our community enough for their support. These programs require a tremendous amount of volunteers, efforts, and funds.
SPECIAL NEEDS DANCE CLASS
One of the programs we are most proud of is our Special Needs Dance class! Each week 30 special needs students come to Carolina Dance Center and take a class taught by one of our artistic directors, Missy Blackburn. Older company members assist Missy with the class and partner up with the students to perform in our Spring Extravaganza. It is definitely one of the highlights of the show for not only the audience, but also for the company members who work so closely with these students!
KAMRYN'S SMILE TEA PARTY
Each April CDF hosts a princess tea party in loving memory of Kamryn Bailey. Kamryn was a beautiful child who loved to dance and who brought smiles to the faces of many. We are proud to continue bringing smiles to others in her honor by hosting this tea party. All the proceeds from the tea party go to the Kamryn’s Smile Fund which was created to bring smiles and dance to underserved local youth.
