Carolina Dance Center Performance Companies (CDCPC) is the performance arm of Carolina Dance Foundation. It is comprised of 4 Companies: Carolina Civic Ballet, Carolina Groove (Jazz/Contemporary), Carolina Rhythm (Tap) and Carolina Groove Elite (our competition team).

The CDC Performance Companies have specific goals for their dancers including enhancing technical training, increasing self confidence and inspiring each individual dancer to reach his/her full potential. Our passion is to educate young dancers and provide them with the proper opportunity to develop into technically proficient artists.

Carolina Civic Ballet is a carefully structured ballet program  that offers a variety of classes and levels designed to accommodate every dancer's needs. Ballet is a wonderful way to inspire students' love for dance while promoting muscular strength, proper body alignment, flexibility, and lyrical musicality. Our experienced faculty believes in teaching the correct anatomical aspects of the art while introducing students to a neo-classical style.

Carolina Groove is a performance company specializing in jazz, contemporary, and lyrical with a strong emphasis on technique. Groove company members are well rounded dancers because of their consistent ballet and jazz training along with numerous guest artist workshops and master classes throughout the season. Dancers will explore all styles of jazz/contemporary dance, from current day contemporary to musical theatre to upbeat jazz during their years as a Groove member. Carolina Groove aims to be a fun and rewarding jazz company where all dancers are expected to give their best effort and in return, find a strong passion for the love of jazz, performing, and hard work!

Carolina Rhythm is an all encompassing program with training in all styles of tap. This program includes master teachers, guest artist choreography, performances, company outings to professional tap shows, and classes geared to the overall development of the tap dancer. The aim of Carolina Rhythm is to create a fun, supportive atmosphere where students can gain confidence in musicality and performance through the art of tap dance.

Carolina Groove Elite is the competition team for CDCPC. CGE Dancers have the opportunity work with world-renowned choreographers to learn competition pieces created just for them. These pieces range from solos, duets and trios, to small group pieces and extended lines. CGE offers dancers an opportunity to improve their technique and gain confidence in their stage performance. In addition to working with choreographers to learn competition pieces, they will attend 3 mandatory conventions where , in addition to competing, they will take classes with amazing dancers from around the country in many different forms of dance.
