FAQ

Dancers may miss 2 non-dress rehearsals per piece. The absences must not occur within 1 week of a major performance. Poor attendance may result in a choreographer replacing a dancer with an understudy at their sole discretion. All dress rehearsals are required.
**Absences for which the Scheduler/Artistic Directors (ADs) are not notified are a huge problem! Therefore, we will now be charging a $50 fee for any missed rehearsal for which the scheduler/artistic directors are not notified at least 24 hours prior to a rehearsal (this does not apply to understudies). As soon as you know you will be absent, please email carolinadanceschedule@gmail.com.
Please EMAIL carolinadanceschedule@gmail.com at least 24 hours PRIOR to the scheduled rehearsal if your dancer will be absent. Failure to notify of absence or conflict prior to 24 hours will result in a $50 charge to your dancer's account.
Exceptions to the 24-hour policy will be made for emergencies, such as illness or extenuating circumstances (decided on a case-by-case basis), as long as the scheduler and choreographer are notified prior to the rehearsal.
Saturday Ballet Company classes are required for Carolina Civic Ballet dancers in levels Junior B and above. These classes are optional for Carolina Ballet Junior A level dancers and for Carolina Rhythm dancers. Dancers may participate as long as they fall into an appropriate age and experience level. Please contact the Ballet Artistic Directors to determine which class is appropriate for your dancer.
